OTHER RESEARCH STUDIES

Picture
Within our research group - Psychopharmacology and Emotion Research (PERL) - we have a number of studies that are actively recruiting volunteers - whether diagnosed with a mental health problem, low in mood, anxious or healthy. All of them are primarily based at the Warneford hospital in Oxford, and all reimburse for time and travel.

In particular, if you are feeling low in mood but NOT currently taking antidepressant medication, you might be interested in our sister study RESTAND.

You can find out more about our research in general on our university webpage.  All of our research is aimed at exploring how the brain processes emotional information. In particular, we're interested in studying how different factors such as brain chemicals, medicines and psychological treatments affect how we process emotions. This helps us to understand disorders such as depression and anxiety and to understand and contribute to the development of drug and psychological treatments.
